Discover Bristol...

Welcome to Bristol, a brilliant city burning with talent, bursting with beautiful locations, and brimming with irresistible stories.

This is a city of intriguing contradictions. A phoenix that survived the worst of Hitler’s bombs, its urban centre nestles in the greenery of Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Elegant Georgian squares and crescents huddle next to legendary nightclubs and secret drinking holes, and it’s long and often controversial history sits alongside a city zinging with new technology, green thinking, and progressive, talented people.

And boy, have we got talent. Bristol’s the home of Banksy, Being Human, F**k Buttons, Roni Size, Bristol Old Vic, Goldfrapp, Skins, Encounters Short Film Festival, the Pervasive Media Studio, Massive Attack, Mistresses, Portishead, and the BBC Natural History Unit. Want more? It’s the spiritual home of Dubstep, the place where the great Aardman Animation grew up, and whose university boasts alumni Matt Lucas, Michael Winterbottom and Simon Pegg.

Bristol’s busting with stories too - extraordinary worlds to get your imagination going. From St Paul’s Carnival, seedy student life, the slave trade and the People’s Republic of Stokes Croft, to football rivalry, Clifton yummy mummies, the Bristol Bus Boycott and Brunel’s legacy, Bristol is steeped in tales that’ll get everyone talking.

And that’s where iFeatures comes in. We’re looking for fresh film projects that can not only be filmed in and around Bristol, but which capture the very essence of the place. We're talking films that define this brilliant city in the same way that classics such as Trainspotting, Letter to Brezhnev, Billy Elliot, Bullet Boy and Looking For Eric have done for the cities in which they were set.

So, join us. We want iFeatures to light up the region’s brightest talents as well as draw in some of the most exciting filmmakers at work in the UK and Europe. We want to illuminate Bristol and the South West’s feature film landscape, and develop the city’s reputation for world-class filmmaking with three cracking, full-length feature films.

Welcome to Bristol. Welcome to iFeatures.
